Point of Sale Configuration and Settings

This will help you understand different setting on your Point of Sale configuration

First lets look at the settings. Navigate to Point of Sale on the main menu, Scroll Down to Configuration and click on settings

These are general settings, when you have made your changes click on apply. Some settings may install third-party modules automatically.

Under Configuration, click on Point of Sale, the system will show the different Point of Sales you have configured. You are welcome to add new or edit the current ones.

1. Point of Sale Name: The name of the POS station (Main, PoS 1, Teller 1, etc)
2. Point of Sale Journal / Invoice Journal - Reporting journal for the sales made via POS
3. Barcodes: No Need to change that, please ask a Prys Technician to help with barcode programming for scales
4. Active: Is the POS station active or not
5. Available Payment Methods (Create or Select Payment Methods), you may add new methods like, YOCO, Ikhokha, etc.
6. Virtual Keyboard: If active the POS system will show a touch screen keyboard on your screen
7. Invoicing: Allows Cashiers to print A4 invoices from the system
8. Prefill Cash Payment: Will automatically fill in the Cash payments with the amount due
9. Tip Product: For restaurants, create a product where tips are filed under
10. Include taxes in Price
11. Large Scroll Bars: Helpful for touch screens, enlarges POS scroll bars
12. Automatic Receipt Printing: Skips the option to print receipts and prints automatically (POSBox printer must be set.
13. POS Keyboard Shortcuts: this sets the keyboard keys for quicker transactions on your pos system, you will need to type in the key name. e.g: "backspace", "enter", "f1". We recommend using key combinations like "alt+f", this is because most keyboard keys may have specific functions that may interrupt your browser. 
14. Hardware Proxy: This is to setup your printer via a posbox, a Prys technician will be able to help with this
15. Cash Control: Enable Cash-Up and Cash Control on POS station
16. Header / Footer: Text to be printed on your receipts
17. Reprint: Allows cashiers to reprint the last receipt

When done editing or creating remember to save.
